Margo Seltzer
Margo Seltzer is a professor and computer scientist best known for her contributions to the BSD operating system. She is the author of several widely-used software packages including the 4.4BSD log-structured file system and the Berkeley DB database. Widely regarded as an expert in the field of operating system research, she is a Sloan Foundation Fellow in Computer Science, an ACM Fellow, and a Bunting Fellow. Seltzer has also been a driving force within the computing community through her work with the USENIX Association where she has been both a past President and recipient of its FLAME Lifetime Achievement Award.
