Sanjay Ghemawat

Sanjay Ghemawat is a computer scientist and software engineer best known for his work on infrastructure systems at Google. Ghemawat co-created several open source projects including Protocol Buffers, the LevelDB data store, as well as TensorFlow — a machine learning software widely used to develop artificial Intelligence (AI) applications. He also co-created the MapReduce programming model (which paved the way for “big data” processing systems like Hadoop) as well as the BigTable data store which is widely credited with inspiring the NoSQL database software movement.
